Gerald Algere

Algere is an executive vice president and group manager of the Healthcare/Education/Not-for-Profit Group at Century Bank, which has branches in Wellesley and Newton. For nearly two decades, Algere’s leadership has helped build a national reputation for the bank’s not-for-profit group. Through his work, he’s helped provide municipalities, cultural organizations, healthcare institutions and schools of all sizes financial guidance and support by developing solutions so they can prosper and deliver on their mission. His colleagues and clients cite his unwavering compassion and care that extends beyond financial acumen.
Algere works particularly hard in fighting for organizations that assist those with disabilities, helping organizations -- such as the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation -- finance transitional housing and homes for low-income families and for those with special needs. Algere has served on the boards of numerous organizations including: The Sacred Heart School, Fontbonne Academy, Greater Boston Interfaith Organization, Youthbuild of Boston, Jackie Robinson Scholarship Committee and DARE Family Services.
