JESSE EDWARDS

Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer, City of Framingham

Edwards has held leadership roles in diversity, equity, and inclusion/equal employment opportunity sectors since 2013. Early on in his career, Edwards took on roles at the Boys & Girls Club in Nashua, NH, and the Juvenile Probation System in Atlanta, Georgia, supporting the most vulnerable and empowering the next generation of leaders. Later as the director of operations at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell,

 

Edwards led court diversion and college-bound initiatives in Massachusetts. After taking on roles at the City of Worcester and UMass Medical School, Edwards eventually joined Framingham State University. In 2022, he was appointed to take the helm of the Diversity and Inclusion Department for the City of Framingham. Edwards holds a B.S. from Rivier University in Legal Studies, a M.S. from Springfield College in Human Service Administration, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Higher Education Administration.
