SONAL ULLMAN, M.D.

Gastroenterologist, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Needham

Ullman is a board-certified gastroenterologist practicing in Needham since 2009. Her recent focus is on post-pandemic workforce development at the hospital including the creation of an employee coaching program. She holds a leadership role at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham as the president of the medical staff, currently serving on the Medical Staff Executive Committee.

 

Ullman formerly served as the chairperson of BID Needhamā€™s Department of Medicine and is also an ex-officio member of the board of trustees. Her work with employees and leadership to strengthen and improve the workplace has been relentless even during the most challenging days of the pandemic. She received a B.A. from Dartmouth College, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and later received her Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Society. Ullman completed her residency at the University of Virginia and her fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
