A steadfast and transformative leader, DeCarvalho has been an agent of change at Framingham’s Wayside Youth & Family Support Network, a 500+ employee organization that provides mental health counseling and family support services to children, young adults and families in Massachusetts. DeCarvalho has drawn on her experience as a licensed social worker as well as her organizational and analytical strengths to execute a series of initiatives to improve recruitment and communication, foster career development and prioritize diversity, equity and inclusivity. Her success in implementing diversity, equity and inclusion at Wayside has led her to be a sought-after speaker and consultant for other nonprofit organizations. In 2019, she was awarded the Elizabeth Funk Emerging Leaders Award from the Association of Behavioral Health. DeCarvalho lives in Natick where she is active in the community, and co-chair of Natick is United.
