About the Chamber

What is the Charles River Regional Chamber?

The Charles River Regional Chamber is a nonprofit 501(c)(6) business organization serving Boston’s Inner Western Suburbs — primarily Newton, Needham, Watertown, and Wellesley. With more than 1,200 members, we help businesses and nonprofits grow through networking, resources, education, and advocacy.


Joining & Membership

How do I join the Chamber?

Joining is easy. Simply complete our online application, and our team will follow up to activate your membership and welcome you to the Chamber community. If you have questions before joining, contact membership@charlesriverchamber.com.


How much does membership cost?

Membership dues are based on your organization’s size and structure. Rates vary depending on factors such as employee count, nonprofit budget, or number of locations. For current rates or help determining your category, contact membership@charlesriverchamber.com.


Who can join the Chamber?

We welcome businesses of all sizes, nonprofits, institutions, and sole proprietors. We also offer Citizen Memberships for individuals who want to support and stay engaged with the local business community.


Do I have to be located in Newton, Needham, Watertown, or Wellesley to join?

No. About one-third of our members are located outside our core communities but value being connected to this regional network.


Value & Engagement

Is membership worth it if I’m really busy?

Yes. Many members are focused on running their businesses day to day and still find strong value in belonging. We provide visibility, referrals, trusted connections, and advocacy that strengthen both your business and the broader community.


Can my coworkers or employees participate?

Yes. Your membership covers your entire team. Employees can attend events, join coalitions, and be added to your directory listing through the Member Portal.


What types of networking opportunities do you offer?

We offer large signature events, Small Networking Groups, educational programs, industry coalitions, and informal networking opportunities — with options for every comfort level and schedule.


Visibility & Marketing

What advertising and sponsorship opportunities are available?

We offer event sponsorships, newsletter and digital promotions, and other visibility opportunities to help raise your profile and showcase your commitment to the community. Contact lqelcock@charlesriverchamber.com to learn more.


Can I host a Chamber event at my business?

We’re always looking for great spaces to host networking events and programs. If interested, contact gabby@charlesriverchamber.com to start the conversation.


Do you share your membership list or email addresses?

No. We do not sell, share, or distribute member email addresses — to anyone, including other members. We encourage respectful one-to-one outreach. A one-time use of physical mailing labels is available, subject to Chamber guidelines.


Can I refer someone to join?

Yes. If your referral joins, we’ll thank you with a $25 gift card to a Chamber member restaurant.


Member Portal

What can I do in the Member Portal?

Log in to update your directory listing, post to the Member Bulletin Board, register for events, add team members, access our webinar library, and view or pay invoices.


I tried to reset my password but didn’t receive the email. What should I do?

Check your spam or junk folder. If you still don’t see the reset email, contact info@charlesriverchamber.com and we’ll help you regain access.
