Vice President of People and Culture & Chief Diversity Officer, Wayside Youth & Family Support Network

A steadfast and transformative leader, DeCarvalho, a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) and Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional, has been an agent of change at Framinghamā€™s Wayside Youth and Family Support Network, a 500+ employee organization that provides behavioral health counseling and family support services.

 

In 2019, she was awarded the Elizabeth Funk Emerging Leaders Award from the Association of Behavioral Health for her work embedding equity and inclusion across the agency. And in April 2021, under DeCarvalhoā€™s leadership, the Wayside Equity Training Center was launched offering nonprofit leadership teams, boards, and employees customized training designed to advance the unique goals of each organization. DeCarvalho was appointed to the MA Commission on the Status of Women in 2021 by Senate President Karen Spilka and currently is the vice chair of the Legislative & Public Policy Committee.
