DAMIEN B. CHAVIANO
Principal, MARK Development
As a principal at Mark Development, Chaviano leads multiple facets of the development process, including permitting, project design, and marketing. He has direct responsibility for the capital structuring and underwriting of the company’s mixed-use projects. A Cuban-American, Chaviano marries a vision for outstanding and inclusive placemaking with an understanding of how to permit, finance, and market projects.
Since joining Newton-based Mark Development, Chaviano has built a network of relationships to source and fund a pipeline of 2+ million square feet of development, with an estimated total project cost of $1 billion. Chaviano is active in various nonprofit organizations, including Milagros para Niňos at Children’s Hospital, Newton Community Pride, and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Urban Mixed-use Product Council. Chaviano is a graduate of Middlebury College and received a MSRED from MIT.
