Highly acclaimed and recognized by some of the culinary industry’s most prestigious establishments, Williams has received a medley of accolades throughout his career including being named as a semi-finalist for the James Beard Foundation’s Best Chef NorthEast (2023, 2022, 2020), awarded Best Chef, General Excellence by Boston Magazine (2021) and recognized as one of the top 10 Best New Chefs in America by Food & Wine (2020).


His diverse and innovative approach to food was influenced by his global experience working in restaurants in Thailand, Paris, and New York City coupled with his passion to learn how to heal through food, something he became committed to after being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Prior to opening his MIDA restaurant, with locations in Boston’s South End and Newton along with Boston-based APizza, Williams ran Culinary Breakdown, a private chef and cooking class company.
